What now?
After the mayhem that was September 11, 2001, many firefighters, police officers, and anyone who could help dug through the rubble to find survivors. It proved futile, but efforts were made to make sure that those who did die did not do so in vain. For firefighters and police officers alike, there is a challenge that they can do where they find somewhere, or go to the local gym, and climb the 110 flights that were in both towers. They wear full gear, and are able to give hommage to their brothers and sisters who never made it out, and were still climbing to save those in need.
Those who were on Flight 93 were brave enough to take down the hijackers and get the plane to not vere into any more buildings, however, there were no survivors from that crash. A memorial has been set up for those who died on Flight 93.
Within Manhattan at Ground Zero, you can also go to the memorial there for those who lost their lives within the towers. Much of the information for this project is from the 9/11 Memorial and Museum website. If you are ever in New York, please visit. Their website is https://911memorial.org/
There you can find survivors testimony, and many other interactive features. While 9/11 continues to be a day that lives in infamy among the American people, there are those who lost more than loved ones that day, and there were some that gave all.
