Doctor Martin Luther King studied at Boston University in 1951 He would receive his PhD in systematic theology with a minor in philosophy and ethics. Although he graduated in 1955 he did not attend The Walking ceremony for he wrote a letter to the Dean saying that due to his wife's pregnancy and financial hardships he would not be able to return. is here at Boston University where the bedrock was set for his nonviolent retaliations of segregation and civil rights.
