The Affect of 9/11 on America

Introduction

A New York City fireman calls for 10 more rescue workers to make their way into the rubble of the World Trade Center.

  This Omeka site is one of many of the projects for Professor Deanna Wooley's Public History class during the Spring 2022 semester. The public history topic I chose to research and discuss is the attacks from September 11, 2001. The site begins with background information on the event, moves into a look at the American mindset after 9/11, following that an explanation of the terrorist attack's affect on American government, discussion on memorialization of 9/11, an opportunity to learn and listen to some oral histories from the 9/11 Memorial, and concluding with a personal reflection on the research and event.
